Our Focus
At the Y, strengthening community is our cause. The Y believes that social change happens when people come together and invest in our children, health and neighbors. To achieve this vision, the Y has three areas of focus: youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Stateline Family YMCA is recognized as one of the leading community organizations in our area by directly engaging children, adults and families from all segments of our communities in achieving healthier lifestyles. As a result, we inspire philanthropic support, engage more volunteers, develop staff and strengthen collaborations within the community.
For All
STRENGTHENING OUR WORK THROUGH THE DIVERSITY OF OUR PEOPLE
The Y is made up of people of all ages and from every walk of life working side-by-side to strengthen communities. Together, we strive to ensure that everyone, regardless of ability, age, cultural background, ethnicity, faith, gender and identity, ideology, income, national origin, race or sexual orientation has the opportunity to reach their full potential with dignity. Our core values are caring, honesty, respect and responsibility — they guide everything we do.
The YMCA is the leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community by empowering young people, improving the health and well-being of people of all ages and inspiring action in and across communities. We recognize that in order to be truly “for all,” we need to lead with equity. That means working with local and global partners to identify and remove the barriers that historically have prevented some of those in our communities from thriving, while ensuring that each individual can access the unique support they need.
Diversity, inclusion, and equity practices at the Y foster a high-performing learning environment in which staff and volunteers are engaged and valued, and where they are encouraged to collaborate, generate ideas, and contribute at the highest level. We are passionate about our cause and know that our ability to achieve it begins with reflecting and partnering with all people and communities.

The Y: Idle Hands
Where do kids go when there’s no where to go? What do they do when there’s nothing to do? Kids will be kids, and idle hands will get to work one way or another. But if we give kids a place to go where they can be safe, where they can be curious, where they can be kids, then they’re capable of amazing things. The Y is that place.
The Y: Places
Not everyone is born with the resources to succeed. Many people across the country are made to feel invisible because of environmental circumstance. But the truth is, all people are capable of greatness. All communities are filled with beauty. And the Y is dedicated to helping people grow.
