Stay N Play

The Stateline Family YMCA is proud to offer quality on-site drop-in care to all of our members! Stay-N-Play provides children ages 6 weeks to ten years old, a safe and fun place to be while caregivers are enjoying the Y.

Stay-N-Play is a supervised play area for young children whose caregivers have a Stateline Family YMCA membership and are utilizing (staying within) the YMCA. We strive to maintain a staff-to-child ratio of 1 staff for every 8 children. Stay-N-Play is not a licensed child care center, yet we follow state guidelines and require that your child's visit is a maximum of 3 hours. Stay-N-Play is an enviroment of primarily free play, where children get to choose what they want to do. While organized activities are offered, they are not regularly scheduled and children are not required to participate.

Sign In Procedure

Stay-N-Play is a secured area that only children may enter and exit. All children must have a caregiver (18+) sign in and a picture of the caregiver on file in order to utilize theprogram. Each visit, parents will sign their child in and record the necessary information (name, location of caregiver within the Y, etc. ). There is a maximum time limit of 3 hours per day. When the parent retuns, they will check-out with a Stay-N-Play staff person where staff will verify the parents' name and photo before releasing.

Diapering Policy Update

Effective August 15, 2024, we will be implementing a no diapering policy in our drop-in daycare (Stay-N-Play). This decision has been made in the best interest of all children in our care, as well as our staff members.

Please be advised that our drop-in daycare will no longer provide diaper changing services. We kindly ask that all children who are not yet potty-trained be brought to the facility already changed. If a child requires a diaper change during their time in our care, we will contact the parent or guardian via our new paging system to come and assist.

We understand that this policy change may present challenges for some families, but we believe that it is important to maintain a clean and hygienic environment for all children in our care. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to this new policy.

Caregivers are welcome to store a diaper bag in the Stay N Play cubby area or in your personal gym locker. Ironworks changing areas are located in the Family Locker Rooms and the all-gender bathroom across from the Kerry Room and Gymnasium. Roscoe changing areas are located in each of the locker rooms.
